My first few weeks
Pretty in red

When I was a wee baby I lived with my Mommy, Daddy, three sisters and one brother. But one day when I was 6 weeks old people started coming and taking my brother and my sisters away, The Humans that we lived with told everyone that I was not for Sale (what ever that meant) that they were going to keep me. Well it was almost Christmas and the tree was up and all the decorations were out and everything looked so pretty. A couple came and said they were looking for a puppy for their Grand daughter for a Christmas present, they picked out my sister who only had one spot, they held me and said I was so cute. Course my humans said I was not for sale. They left with my sister and before the day was over I was the only one left.
It was getting late and it was dark outside, the Christmas tree lights were on and the Phone rang. It was the people that had bought my sister with one spot. They begged my humans to let them buy me. They said that their mother who was really old had fallen in love with my sister and wanted one too, well after much talking they came back and carried me off. I was sorta scared but Helen (that was the new human lady's name) held me in her sweater real close till we got to their house. There was my sister (she was waiting there till Christmas Day) sitting in the soft warm lap of a little old lady named Mimi. Well Mimi held out her arms for me and her lap felt so good and soft. I loved Mimi, she was 90 years old and lived with Helen and Lamar. They all agreed that my name should be Tres because I had three spots. But Uncle Bill (was visiting) and he said that my name should be Tres-Seay cause Mimi's maiden name was Seay. That's how I came to be called Tres-Seay pronounced Tracy. Now there were two fluffy dogs they called Pom's, named Sparkle and King Arthur and they really weren't to glad that I was there, but they let me stay.

I am very young here -

My whole first year I stayed almost all the time in Mimi's lap, she liked to rub my ears and would say,"They feel just like real velvet" now I don't know what velvet is but it must feel good because she rubbed my ears till sometimes I thought she would wear them thin. But how I loved that warm Lap with my Blankie over me.
One day when I was about a year old Mimi had to go to what they call a Nursing Home, she had a nice room and people to take care of her, but I couldn't live there with her. I had to stay with Helen and Lamar and those hairy dogs, that went to the beauty shop all the time. I would go and visit with Mimi and I could find her no matter where she was in that Nursing home. I liked to sit in the middle of her bed or back in her lap. She kept my picture on her wall, but she would keep forgetting my name, that was alright cause I knew she was very old. And she forgot a lot of things . Mimi went to Heaven in Jan. this year so I don't get to see her anymore but they say I will someday.
Well what was one to do when their Lap was gone, well I just looked at Lamar and he had a nice lap cause he sat in a recliner with his legs up and I fit perfect, so that's how I became Lamar's dog. He likes "Low Maintenance" dogs, no grooming fees, I like my bath in the hose. He plays ball with me and points out the squirrels so I can chase them and I'm really good at that. You should see me kill a Mole, did you know they will ruin your back yard? You know I really grew to like those Hairy dogs even King Arthur, who use to growl at me. One day I noticed that Arthur couldn't find his way, I found out later that he couldn't see anymore, so I had to help him, I didn't mind leading him in when he would get lost in the back yard, he never growled at me again. Arthur has gone somewhere called the Rainbow Bridge, it must be nice there cause Helen says that where all good beloved pets go, and I know we are beloved.
